In order to provide truly world-class care, you need to have the right tools, which is why Summit Boulevard Dental is filled with the latest dental technology available today. With the newest instruments, we’re able to catch, diagnose, and treat issues faster while keeping our patients more comfortable. We continually update our office to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry, so whenever you come to see us, you can trust that you’re always getting the best.
With our intraoral camera, you’ll finally be able to see your smile from your dentist’s point of view! This small, camera-tipped device fits easily into the mouth to capture high-resolution images we can instantly display on a chairside monitor. These not only make it much easier for our team to spot dental problems early, but they are also tremendously helpful if we need to explain why you might need a certain treatment.
Thanks to digital X-rays, we’re able to create crystal-clear diagnostic images in a matter of seconds while exposing our patients to 80% LESS radiation compared to traditional, film-based X-rays. It’s just another way we strive to save you time and keep you safe whenever you come to see us. Also, these images can be displayed on a chairside monitor so you can go over and easily understand them with your dentist.
We’ve invested in the Carestream 8100 3D scanner, an advanced imaging machine that helps us gain a truly comprehensive view of your oral health. The machine takes a series of images and assembles them into a 3D image of your teeth and the bone structure around them. We use the information from these in-depth scans to diagnose oral health problems and to plan for major dental procedures, such as dental implant placement. The scanning process is quick and comfortable.
Most dental offices rely on an outside laboratory to create ceramic crowns for their patients, but thanks to the Glidewell Fast Mill machine, we can create your restorations right here in our office. After a fast and comfortable scanning process, we design the crown based on your unique oral structures. Then, your dentist in Reno sends that data to the Glidewell machine, which carves the crown out of a single block of dental porcelain. The crowns it produces are beautiful, functional, and durable.
