Why Did You Become A Dentist?

Dr. Nygren has always been fascinated with medicine, as well as combinations of art, science, and health. Dentistry allows her to do just that with her career; plus, since the field’s always changing and introducing new research and fun gadgets, it’s continually progressive and exciting! She loves being a lifelong student and regularly attending courses and conference to learn, network, and volunteer. Transferring that education to patients and helping them become more confident and pain-free is an amazing feeling, and her goal is to help every visitor actually enjoy their time spent at the practice.

Today, her favorite part of this job is being able to work so closely with patients and help them in a problem-solving capacity to get their oral health back on the right track.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After achieving her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Dr. Nygren pursued her doctorate at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Nygren comes from a very large family with many close cousins who she regularly sees for big family gatherings and holidays throughout the year. Her mother is a retired elementary school teacher turned photographer, and her father and brother have continued the family farming tradition in Fallon.

Outside of dentistry, she is also a ballerina and an actress! Art is in her blood, and patients are likely to catch her singing and dancing in the office. She regularly attends all kinds of plays, musicals, festivals, concerts, cultural events, and sporting events. Traveling is another big hobby, especially when it comes to experiencing different cultures and visiting historical landmarks. She enjoys reading and taking classes on all sorts of things, from Zumba to business. Finding treasures at garage sales and thrift stores is a favorite pastime. IN the future, she hopes to use her skills for volunteering and going on dental mission trips.
